If on Facebook and Twitter, can also start advertising on those platforms too.

As to sizes I would use the bigger sizes. People can use oversized t-shirts but not those which are too small.

As to address. I use mine for our Illinois Treasury. Many of our state boards have their addresses on our web pages. That is a personal decision however.

You might want to ask Gary if you can put something in our Monitor Miniatures. I do not know if we do that or not. Dave will definitely run stuff on our listservs and if you want to sell now and get ahead that is probably a good idea.

Janice, Dave Andrews is usually willing to post announcement from state presidents on the nfbnet system, and I would think that would include division presidents. It might still be early to start announcements for convention fundraisers.

I have no opinion about kids' sizes for T-shirts. Try emailing Carlton Walker about that. She works with BELL and she has been President of the Parents Division. You might want to tell her something about the design of your shirts. I don't remember all the different designs that are sold, and I may not be the only one who doesn't.

How safe it is to put a street address on an internet announcement depends a little on where you live. Chances are many could find you if they really wanted to. However, a post office box number might be wiser. There are other places that often rent boxes, as well, such as Mail Boxes Etc or UPS stores.

Good evening Everyone,

As the National Association of the DeafBlind, a proud Division of the NFB starts to plan our fundraising for National, I have several questions.

We have a member that knits beautiful, tactile afghans for the Division that we raffle at Convention. The person need not be present to win and we do the drawing at Convention.

Can we make an announcement now, for example with the testimony of last years winner and a verbal description of the afghan on both our Website and on the NFB mailing lists and say that we will raffle off another afghan this year with its color, Name of Pattern and general description, so we can start selling raffle tickets?

I know that we can't pay for raffle tickets online, but can I provide an address for where people could send checks and I would send them the raffle tickets?

Or is it not a good idea for me to place my home address on our Website?

Should I just have interested parties email/text me, is this preferable/safer?

Second,
The Division will consider ordering Children's sizes of our Braille T-Shirts if practicable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best size
(s) to order for a trial run?

Thanks in advance,
Let's go build the Federation and our Divisions

Janice Toothman
Second Vice-President
NADB/NFB
