Here is a clever idea that simply requires a clever ask:

a destination, tip the valet, or any of the other added expense when attending an event, because this is 
an ABSENT-TEA

By purchasing tickets, you have the honor of supporting the National Federation of the Blind from the 
comfort of your home! We have taken all the hassle out of (not) coming to our ABSENT-TEA

The National Federation of the Blind of {state} is raising funds to make a difference for people who are blind in our 
Communities. {Insert a quote from someone in your chapter about what the chapter means to them.}

Select how many tickets you and your group need

The basic ABSENT-TEA tickets are $15. each

Each Unlimited ABSENT-TEA ticket is $35.

Reserve a table for 10 with Unlimited tickets $300.

VIP Early Entry Premium tickets, $50. each 

Table of 10, VIP tickets, $450.

We have talked about chapter fund-raising, here, in the past, of course. I am President of an At-Large chapter, so some kinds of fund-raisers wouldn't work for us. I am writing to see if anyone has any new ideas, or experiences.  We have done the Popin Good popcorn fund raiser.  It was fairly successful, mostly from affiliate support, not the chapter. The popcorn is expensive, but you get a good return for what you sell with few logistics.  The bags are on the small side too.

I know Illinois, and others are doing Honey Baked Ham events. I like their stuff, but from what I understand you have to buy a gift card, which can then be used on-line, or at a retail store. This may be too complicated for some.

Any other ideas, thoughts, etc.?  I know there is another popcorn fund raiser, I tried the popcorn, which was ok, but I wasn't bowled over.

If there was a magic answer, we would be doing it, I suppose,
