[Cccnfbw] Mentoring

I think it's a great idea! I wish I could be there for that. I've always
hoped there would be mentoring in the chapter. A good mentor, when I went to
my first meetings and conventions, had a tremendous effect on me. I could
have stayed a visitor and an outsider, but instead I got a whole family in
the NFB all because Brigid took the time to explain things to me and
introduce me to a lot of people. My mentor has enabled me to walk in and
feel welcome and comfortable making friends with any NFBers in any state.

What do you think about having a mentoring program in our chapter? We've
had new members join recently. I'd hate to see them fall through the cracks
because they have no information or motivation to stay. If we want to keep
our new members, I think it's important to reach out and give them a little
support.
