[Cccnfbw] Gee Creek Fundraiser

A thank you to everyone who participated. I know more wanted to and would
have if they would have been feeling better.

I believe that was a good amount for our fundraiser. More than I thought it
was going to be. While Don and I was there, found someone who would be
willing to help us next time. Also, talked with a blind person who in a few
months will be moving to North Bend. We were able to talk about the NFB and
passed on to him, our web site. Just some side benefits of being exposed to
the public.

 

I hope we can do it again.

Hello chapter members & friends,
 
We had a very successful Gee Creek fundraiser over the weekend.  We raised
$283.57 after cookie and gas expenses.  A big thanks to the following
workers and volunteers:
 
Volunteer drivers: 
 Tom Brungardt  6 round-trips to Gee Creek
Autumn & Summer (Bobs daughters) brought Don & Bob and took Betty & Vince
home
Betty (Lilly's friend) brought Lilly & Less to Gee Creek and gave Corey and
myself a ride back to town.

Mario volunteered but I showed up early and left.  Mario thank you again.
See you all at the chapter meeting and picnic.  Spread the word.
