Colleagues,

I am sorry to report the death of Shirley Riffle's husband, Tom, on Sunday,
May 20. Shirley is a great friend of the National Federation of the Blind.
She worked in the BISM rehabilitation department for 25 years. She was
especially encouraging to seniors losing their vision. Our sympathy goes
out to Shirley and her family.

The memorial service for Tom will be on Saturday, June 2nd at 11 am at
Donaldson's Funeral Home in Odenton. A Celebration of Life party will follow
at the Piney Orchard clubhouse right after.

Sharon Maneki, President

National Federation of the Blind of Maryland

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
