Hello Cinci NFB members, 

I had a lovely conversation with Jon, owner of the Washington Platform, a
few weeks ago, and I have many pieces of good news to report.  

First, he and his staff love having the Federation hold our meetings at
Washington Platform!

Secondly, they were just as concerned as we were about the escallating
chaos.  

>From their perspective, it was difficult to serve us with some people coming
early, sitting in the bar, while others went directly into the room.  He
agreed that taking orders for all of us at one time was a decidedly
preferable approach!  

So, our meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24.

Please arrive as close to that time as possible, and go directly into the
room where we hold our meetings.  

At approximately 2:30, wait staff will come in to take our meal orders.  

If we have not finished with business at that time, we'll simply pause the
agenda for the taking of orders and then resume when all have been placed.  

Washington Platform staff have always been welcoming and gracious to us, and
I hope that this adjustment to the plan will be a dramatic improvement.  

As you know, we voted last meeting to meet January 24 and February 28, both
Saturdays, at Washington Platform, and to then re-examine our meeting place
and time.  

I hope we will find this new schedule to be the perfect fit.  

Finally, Jon has requested an approximate head count beforehand if possible,
so if you could respond to this email or to Karren Innis's call with
confirmation of attendance, that would help.  

I'll then convey our estimated number to Washington Platform prior to the
meeting.
