Dale. That's the thing: I'm not sure if the hotel staff (and I mean actual
employees of the hotel) necessarily know what the signs say unless they are
Braille readers.

That's what makes it interesting.

I didn't attend convention, but because of the conotations that "La Paga"
has in some countries, and because it means liar in Spanish, I think it was
inappropriate for the hotel to post it.

Well-I hope you all had a great time at Convention this year. I wanted to
post something very interesting I noticed at Convention. Thursday night, I
was doing a little "structured discovery style" exploration of the area
around the ball rooms in an effort to orient myself to the hotel. I went to
Shula's before and heard several people talking about a Braille sign with
the word "la pajaa near Petit Ball Room E.

I found the sign, and indeed, plane as day, it says "la paja." I Googled and
it turns out that "la paja" means liar in Spanish. In some countries, the
term has other connotations that I won't go into on the list.

Just wondering if anyone besides Lisa from our Chapter noticed this.
