phasing out paper transfers and asking all riders to pay fares using the
EZFare app or otherwise electronically. Below is information about how this
will work.

Transit with EZFare App Users


Metro's fare simplification took effect April 4, 2021, including the
elimination of paper transfers. Now free transfers are only available with
single ride purchases in the EZFare app or with the new Hamilton County
Local Service 5-ride ticket. 

In the transition away from paper ticket transfers, all customers' old
unused EZFare 1-ride tickets with transfers (Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.) have been
automatically replaced by the new EZFare 1-ride tickets with transfers
embedded in the application.

Here is how this new EZFare 1-ride ticket with transfer works:

*	Activate the ticket when boarding as usual.
*	This initial activation lasts for five minutes.
*	After five minutes, the ticket returns to the Ticket Wallet in your
EZFare account.
*	At this point, you may activate the ticket two more times within 120
minutes to be used as a transfer.
*	After these two additional transfer activations or 120 minutes
(whichever occurs first,) the ticket expires and moves to the Ticket History
in your EZFare account.

As a reminder, transfer activations cannot be shared or used to pay for
other riders' fares.
