Brent, your assessment is correct. I just stepped off the 66 and there were no stop announcements. I did hear an outside announcement of the route when the bus pulled up. The driver was still announcing the major stops on the microphone.

Both of which was not particularly helpful, just the start of the rollout. The next phase was to get the display borad to show visually the next stop. This means that visually you could read "S Broadway and Littleton Blvd". Along with that came the external announcements, which seems to work quite well. The last phase was to be and is still the audible information which would read aloud the visual display. That was to be rolled out on all 1,004 busses yesterday September 23rd.

At this point, I believe that the only audio information is the external and the stop requested announcements. If I am wrong please tell me. This system will be great and the fact is that we will still have input on modifications that need to be made. DO NOT be shy about giving feedback. I encourage this to be a topic on every metro area NFB chapter agenda so that we can keep the topic alive and we can have the best input possible. But also make no mistake the system was supposed to be fully implemented and functioning as of yesterday September 23rd.
