Hello Everyone,

Blind Coloradans are employed in a broad spectrum of jobs. Sharing employment experiences can encourage blind individuals who are seeking work. Employment possibilities and opportunities are very often elusive to say the least. I think it is perfectly acceptable to "brag" about blind Federationists who are successful in their jobs.

These short introductions are my first"brags":

Marty Rahn is in her second year as a teacher of blind children at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind in Colorado Springs. She is a grad of UNC in Greeley, Colorado. She started her teaching career as an itinerant teacher traveling 4 counties and schools on a weekly basis in Northeastern Colorado. She has her Masters Degree and Certification as a Teacher of Blind Children. Marty enjoys her profession as a teacher and appreciates the support of her friends through the NFBCO. She is very involved with the Federation's Dog Guide Division activities.

Melissa Green is in her second year as the Director of a Montessori School in Greeley, Colorado. She has Her Masters Degree and Teacher Certification from UNC. Melissa teaches Pre-school age children along with performing her administrative duties and responsibilities for the Montessori School. She keeps very busy with her extensive Federation activities and NFBCO Dog Guide Division interests. Her Federation friends and administrative/teaching profession are most important to Melissa.

I encourage you to share individual's employment success stories with all of us. Good news is always welcome!

David Dawson
