Hey folks, I wanted to let you know about something exciting  happening here
in our neighborhood.  My lovely wife, Anahit, did a great job of convincing
the local swim team to dedicate their 2017 fundraiser to our BELL Program.
Our kids have been sswimming on this team for several years now.  Please see
the below message, and I encourage others to work with their local
organizations and teams to help fund our programs.  The message below
contains a link to an excellent video Jessica Beecham produced in 2014 which
highlights nicely our BELL Academy.

 

Hope all are having a nice hot Spring!  That's right.  It's not quite
officially summer even though it sure has felt like it.

SWIM-A-THON 

Don't miss this fundraiser and amazing annual event!  Our swimmers will help
raise money for both the team and a charitable organization by swimming laps
the morning of June 25 from 8am-11am.  To reward their efforts and fill
their bellies, we ask parent volunteers to help provide breakfast. 

ALL SWIMMERS WHO RAISE $25 OR MORE GET A HOLLY PARK SHARKS SPORTS BOTTLE! 

This is a great time to fill volunteer shifts by counting laps, preparing
food, helping in the kitchen, etc. There is a job sign up located on Team
Unify.  Please look for a Swim-a-Thon pledge sheet in your folder/email this
week.

This is from one of our long-time Holly Park Shark members Anahit LaBarre. 

 "We are very active members of the National Federation of the Blind of
Colorado. Every summer we run camps for preschool and elementary age blind
children. These camps teach these kids braille as well as independence and
other techniques that will be useful for them growing up as a competent
blind person. It makes a world of a difference to provide the kids with
these skills, and most importantly, a positive attitude early on. "
