Also, once no files are selected, you can bring up the Context menu using
the Applications key next to the RIGHT CONTROL key or SHIFT F10. In some
situations, those keys can be more reliable.

Best regards,

Steve

Hi Amy,

Open file explorer, go to the directory in which you wish to create a sub
directory. Make sure nothing is selected. If you are on a selected file,
hit control + spacebar to unselect it. Hit your context key which is your
right mouse button emulator, and arrow down to new, hit enter, and select
the kind of new thing you want to create, such as folders.

Note that you can change the name of a file or directory by using windows
explorer to go to that file, make sure the file is selected, hit f2, which
will select the entire name of the file, arrow right once to deselect the
file's name, and type the new file name, and hit enter.

Subject: [nabs-l] creating folders using windows 10

hello all,
I hope that you are all doing well tonight. well, this past couple of weeks
ago my laptop that I had was not working at all so, I had to take into the
shop to have it repaired. that was over 2 weeks ago and, they had to
completely uninstall windows 7 which I had and, tried reinstalling it! but,
no success so, I had to purchase a new laptop over the weekend which has
windows 10. I love it so far... well, here's my situation and, I need some
help from someone. I converted all of my files on all of my external hard
drives and, I wanted to make subfolders in those folders like in documents,
music, pictures, etc... I tried using the command alt f and, it didn't work
so, I could create a new folder for that application/file. so, I know that
was for windows 7 so, how do I create folders in windows 10 by using jfw 18?
what are the key commands for it? I have never used windows 10 so, i'm
learning while I go.. so, far I have figured it out but, some help would be
appreciated.. also, are there other keystrokes by using jfw18 for windows 10
and, if there is how do I get a copy of them? thanks again in advance and, I
will talk to you all soon!

hugs,
amy
