Greetings to all -

A couple of things to update you about. We still have not gotten a
definite yes or no on a bill signing ceremony with the Governor on
HB1104- Family Preservation for Parents with Disability. As the
Colorado Legislature gets nearer to the end of its 120-day session, it
appears that a lot more bills are passed and the time for getting them
processed, double-checked for typos and such slows down considerably.
Stay tuned.

Thanks for all the calls to Senator Gardner's office last week. Scott
LaBarre and Gabe Cazares met with Gardner's aide, Brian Wanamaker on
Thursday. Obviously, an aide can't commit a Senator to cosponsoring a
bill, so we're still waiting.

Big news is this posted from President Riccobono today in his weekley
notebook. I'm pasting the message below because I'm sure many of us
will want to listen in if we can.

Marrakesh Treaty Update:
On Wednesday, April 18, the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations
will be holding a hearing regarding the Marrakesh Treaty. The hearing
will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Senate Dirksen Office Building, room
419. Scott LaBarre will be testifying on behalf of the National
Federation of the Blind. Those in the local area who are available
should consider attending. The hearing will also be live-streamed at
https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/treaties-041818.
Best,
Dan
