Good morning NFB of Colorado!

Just to be sure everyone heard – HB 18-1104, Family Preservation for
Parents with Disability Act passed 47-`14 this morning. The NFB was
recognized by Jessie Danielson and she even read our One-minute
Message on the floor of the House. A few of us were permitted to sit
on the floor of the House wile the bill was voted on

Now on to the Colorado Senate. We have two Senate Cosponsors, Dominick
Moreno and Kent Lambert. Both are members of the Joint Budget
Committee, and Sen. Lambert was that committee’s chair when Colorado
DVR was moved over to the Department of Labor and Employment. He
helped make that happen and it has turned out to be far better for
blind people, that’s for sure!

Watch for news of the next hearing before a Senate committee!
