Greetings:

Today, I received an email (copy shown below) from the City of Denver declaring that a new "accessible vote-at-home ballot" is now available in Denver. Excerpting from the email:

"… This new option allows voters to request their accessible ballot and vote it in the convenience of their home, or other equipped space, without the need for additional assistance. All that is required is access to a computer, the internet, and a printer."

The email goes on to clarify that:

" while it is approved and in use for Denver municipal elections, this option is not yet available for elections conducted under state law."

Quoting further from the email:

"•          WHO: Voters experiencing challenges with a traditional mail ballot

"•          WHAT: A ballot that is accessible to voters anywhere there is a computer, internet, and printer available

"•          WHEN: Voters may request a ballot for the May 2019 Municipal election no later than May 6th and for the June 2019 Municipal Runoff election no later than June 3rd.

"•          HOW: Voters can request this type of ballot by completing the accessible form on our website: Request an Accessible Vote-at-Home Ballot <https://www.denvergov.org/content/denvergov/en/denver-elections-divison/voter-election-information/accessible-ballot-request.html> "

I am including the full email at the end of this message. It is exciting that the City of Denver is doing what we hope the State of Colorado will be able to do for the 2020 election.

Yours sincerely,

Curtis Chong

New accessible vote-at-home ballot available in Denver
Help us spread the word about this new voting option!

The Denver Elections Division has recently introduced a new accessible vote-at-home ballot for Denver voters.  This new option allows voters to request their accessible ballot and vote it in the convenience of their home, or other equipped space, without the need for additional assistance. All that is required is access to a computer, the internet, and a printer.  More information about the  <https://DenverVotes.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e7ffc3a2c629fa01faefd3b17&id=45baac640a&e=401a1ff355> accessible OmniBallot can be found here.

We are asking your help in getting the word out to communities that may benefit from this new option.  Please note that while it is approved and in use for Denver municipal elections, this option is not yet available for elections conducted under state law.
