We are counting on our members, NFBCO chapters and divisions, supporters, allies, professionals in the field of blindness to help us provide amazing and informative programing for Friday and Saturday of the assembly. Please consider and share widely. Please encourage your colleagues to consider providing workshops and seminars. Jessica Beecham is NFBCO Board Secretary. Jessica is managing this process. Here is what she says;

Seminars and breakout sessions will be held on Friday November 1 and Saturday November 2 at our State Convention in Ft. Collins. The National Federation of the Blind is made up of blind people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. This year we are seeking new and dynamic content that will appeal to our diverse audience. If there is something fun, exciting, interesting, intriguing, evocative, educational, or stimulating that you would like to share with the blind of Colorado, their families, or professionals in the field of blindness, please fill out the information below and email it to Jessica Beecham jbbeecham at gmail.com by September 6. We will review all proposals and will let you know by September 23 whether your proposal/seminar has been chosen as a part of this year’s Convention festivities.

This year our aim is quality over quantity so please give us as much detail as possible about your session and how it will enhance the Convention. Please note, we will be choosing the presentations that best fit the agenda and not all proposals will be selected.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
