Good Evening My Fellow Federationists,

I appologize for not sharing this information sooner. However, I only
obtained it today myself, and wanted to pass it on for anyone else who
might be interested in attending.
Respectfully,

Video transcript:
Greetings from the Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing,
and DeafBlind (CCDHHDB).
We are pleased to inform you (deaf, hard-of-hearing and deafblind
communities) that you are invited to our town hall with Governor
Polis' Behavioral Health Task Force. This task force is supported by
the Colorado Department of Human Services, where CCDHHDB is housed.
We also work closely with the Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD) as
it relates to the Colorado Daylight Partnership's effort to build
capacity of behavioral health for deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind
Coloradans.
The purpose of this town hall is for members of the deaf,
hard-of-hearing, and deafblind communities to share feedback with
members of the Governor's Behavioral Health Task Force and Lt.
Governor Dianne Primavera relating to our system experiences,
frustrations, barriers, and even ideas with them.
The Task Force is to generate a report called road map or "blueprint"
for the Governor's Office by June 2020, when implementation of an
action plan can begin in July 2020.
The Behavioral Health Task Force has begun by discussing with multiple
stakeholders and members of the communities in the state, but they did
not have an opportunity for a significant conversation with deaf,
hard-of-hearing, and deafblind communities. This will be our
opportunity.
Our town hall information can be found on the attached flyer.
Instructions on how to make your RSVP is on the flyer. The town hall
site information, including address, is included. The town hall
meeting will be held at the Colorado Health Foundation in downtown
Denver. It has free parking spaces and the RTD light rail station is
close to the building.
Come in person if you can. But if you are not able to join us in
person you can join us through Google Hangouts or telephone.
Refreshments are also provided.
Our event will begin with the Commission's business meeting from 4 to
5 pm, which is before the Town Hall portion, which is from 5 to 7 p.m.
We sincerely hope to see many of you there. You are the ones who will
make a difference to the behavioral health system.
