Thanks, William. Carrie also had a long obituary in the New York Times:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/27/obituaries/carrie-ann-lucas-dead.html

Here is CREEC’s statement:

https://creeclaw.org/creec-mourns-the-passing-of-pathbreaking-disability-rights-lawyer-and-advocate-carrie-ann-lucas/

There will be two services, one tomorrow at 10:30 at Faith United Church of Christ, 1020 Walnut Street, Windsor, CO, and another later in the year in Denver and online for the larger disability rights, etc., communities.

Many folks have been asking if they can donate in Carrie's memory. Her family and her partner have asked to direct donations to the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition, which has set up a fund. Some may be used to support her sister as she steps in to help parent Carrie’s kids (they are still working on the legal structure for this); some may be directed to organizations Carrie supported.
