Hi, I don't want to start a trend where we are all posting crazy links to crazy stuff unrelated to the National Federation of the Blind. Moreover, I realize that not everybody signs up to the same streaming services. This morning I woke up very early to go on a hike with the Wonder Shepherd. It was 19 degrees. I started reading back over some of the Colorado Talk posts on the topic, Live the Life you Want. I thought that a few of them were straying into a tone of negativity. I thought that was sad. I feel like we can offer suggestions, make observations, express concerns, and find ways to accentuate the positive. It has always been one of my favorite ditties and Mercer sings it with such joy. Beyond our challenges, struggles, occasional disagreements, and the effort necessary to build the Federation and build the greatest opportunity for the most blind people possible we must accentuate the positive. At 5 a.m. this morning, in 19 degree Colorado weather, I found great comfort in the joy I get from our Federation. I found the joy of that song refreshing. And, I think that song carries with it the kind of celebration so many of us find, living the lives we want in the National Federation of the Blind.
