[Colorado-Talk] Shutting Up Join/Leave Announcements in Zoom

Greetings:

 

If you are using NVDA, you can toggle speech on and off by pressing the NVDA
key with the letter s. You really don't want to do this if you are the
person managing the meeting platform. There is a thing you can do to the
NVDA dictionary to suppress the messages about people leaving and entering,
but I do not have the technical details for that as of now. Again, this is
problematic really if you are the person managing the Zoom meeting.

Help!

I use NVDA on my PC, and it interrupts and alerts me every time someone
joins or leaves a Zoom meeting. In crowded meetings, this can be pretty
obnoxious.
Does anyone know how to shut this off, either in Zoom or NVDA?
