 question to the community,

I am finding out, that there is a general lack of Owen M instructors across the nation.
People looking for Owen M training have very few options, and long waitlist.

Looking into becoming an O & M specialist to teach this, looks very difficult and challenging.

The certification requires a four-year college degree.

Why????

I understand that most Owen M instructors, that this is just one of their mini certifications and training capabilities.
And a specialty and training visually impaired includes Owen M.

But can’t we get a simple Owen M certification course through a community college or or the NFB or something?

Just asking, and I look forward to the conversation about this.
