Hello Friends

The University of Colorado Medical School is looking again for patients to help train doctors.  Some of you did this last year and some of you were unable but wanted to be asked again.  Those who did it last year really enjoyed it.    This is basically an opportunity to talk to medical students about how to be culturally competent and what we as people with disabilities need, and what we get now.   They might want you to meet with two groups, or move rooms so students hear more than one perspective.

The session will be held March 15, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 3 PM

I need the following information


  1.  Their first and last name
  2.  Best contact method—email is preferred
  3.  Any accommodations needed (e.g. ASL interpreter, wheelchair accessible room, etc.)

If you are interested please let me know and I will send the list to the people at the school and do the connection.

I am attaching the facilitators guide so you will see the bigger picture of what they are learning and where our role comes into play.
This will be an in person event only, at the Aurora campus (Anshutz).  They will provide a gift card and parking.

If you know others that might be interested please share but ask them to respond to me.  They need 17 people, I am going to plan for 20 knowing there is always last minute stuff that comes up and know some of you will not be able to go.     This is for people with disabilities, not parents.
