Hello everyone:

I am pleased to tell you about a new service offered to RTD Denver
Access-a-Ride customers. This new service, called Access-on-Demand with
Uber, will enable Access-a-Ride customers to use Uber to get them where they
want to go.

Access-on-Demand provides a dedicated ride alternative through the Uber app
that will provide on-demand curb to curb service for all customers,
including those customers requiring wheelchair accessible vehicles, which
will be provided using designated Access-a-Ride vehicles.

The first $2 of UberX, XL, or WAV trips will be charged to the payment
method tied to your Uber account. RTD will subsidize up to an additional $20
of each fare. If the total trip cost is over $22, you will be responsible
for any additional balance over that amount.

. Trips must be booked through the Uber app.

. Four trips are allowed per day up to a maximum of sixty trips per
month.

. This service is available wherever Uber is available within the RTD
service area.

In order to avail yourself of this new service, you must have current RTD
Access-a-Ride certification. You must also have an Uber account with an
electronic method of payment (e.g., credit/debit card) already established.
The Access-on-Demand service will be connected to your Uber account after
you fill out and submit the enrollment form, found at
https://rtddenver.wufoo.com/forms/myb6j90o0e69o/. This form is extremely
simple. It asks only for your name, email address, and Access-a-Ride
identification number.

Once the information you entered into the enrollment form has been uploaded
to Uber, you will receive an email from Uber confirming your enrollment.

If you have any questions about this new service, you can contact RTD at
303-299-2530.

On the plus side, using Access-on-Demand with Uber means that you do not
have to reserve a ride in advance and that you will be taken directly to
your destination instead of riding around for a longer period of time as
other Access-a-Ride passengers are picked up or dropped off. Also, Each trip
will cost you $2 on a regular basis (assuming you do not travel far enough
to exceed a trip fare of $20) instead of $5, the usual Access-a-Ride fare.

Less positive is that you cannot use Access-on-Demand with Uber unless you
have a smartphone with the Uber app installed and set up. If you do not feel
comfortable using a smartphone, this service will probably not be of any
help to you.

Kindly,

Curtis Chong
