Greetings Jess and Everyone,

Thank you Jessica for that wonderful and loving message. I am thankful for so many things. For those who don’t know or haven’t heard, I have started on Dialysis. I was hoping I would at least be in a kidney transplant program before starting Dialysis, but program after program has denied me because of my lungs and oxygen requirements. I’m still looking for the right program and will find something. I’m so grateful for my NFB family for such wonderful support and so much love. And giving me something to do so I’m not just sitting idly and losing my mind over my disfunctional body. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving full of love and joy and good food.

Warmly,

Doula

Subject: [Colorado-Talk] Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone

Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday. I celebrate by spending time in reflection of the many things in my life for which I am grateful, enjoying my family and close friends, and sharing love through delicious food.

This week has been a difficult week to focus on gratitude. The senseless mass shooting at Club Q, triggered by hate, has led to the deaths of five beautiful souls and the injury of many others. This sort of tragedy feels overwhelming and heart wrenching. However, I am uplifted and inspired by the outpouring of support that we have seen from our Colorado Springs Community for the victims, their family and friends, the LGBTQ+ community, and the surrounding local businesses that have been impacted. I am grateful that I live in a community that is choosing to overpower hate with love and support for one another.

I want to extend a warm and heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. When I reflect on my long list of items I am grateful for this year, our NFBCO family comes to the very top.

I love each of you and am appreciative of your friendship, support, and contributions to our movement. As I write this note, I am sending all of my love to some of our dear members who are going through health or other personal struggles. Please do not forget that we are with you, sending strength, love, and hugs every single step of the way. I hope that everyone has a holiday full of delicious food, time to relax and to spend with the ones we care about, and lots of joy!

With Love and Gratitude

Jessica Beecham
