Come one and all to our Great Western Guide Dog Show and Seminar!

Where: Colorado Center for the Blind, 2233 W Sheppard Ave, Littleton,
Colorado, 80120

When: Saturday, May 13th, from 9 am until 3 pm

Cost: $20 per person. Well-behaved guide dogs are free.

Keynote speakers will be Michael Hingson, author, consultant, international
speaker, technologist, and guide dog user, and Julie Johnson, blind guide
dog trainer, and CEO, of On the Go Dog Gear.

This dynamic program is for guide dog handlers, trainers, groomers,
veterinarians, public officials, and those who may be considering a guide
dog in their lives.

Coffee, a light breakfast snack, and lunch will be provided. Those details
coming soon. Although we encourage folks to join us in person for the main
session, it will also be streamed on Zoom. However, the fabulous array of
breakout sessions and exhibits will not be available virtually. The seminar
will feature experts and legal advocates to present the very latest on
problems and policies with transportation network companies, airlines, and
the department of transportation.

There will be trainers from a number of schools who will be offering Juno
walks. Juno walks will help those who are considering a guide dog in their
future to get a sense of and feel for what it is like to work with a guide
dog.

There will be training tips and tricks, targeting, grooming, nutrition, and
much more.

No matter where you are in the great western United States, all roads lead
to Littleton for The Great Western Guide Dog Show and seminar. Please spread
the word far and wide. If you have program ideas, please send them to
kevan at nfbco.org.

This event is sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado,
the Colorado Center For the Blind, and the Colorado Association of Guide Dog
Users. By the way, get your dog's nails trimmed while you are there.
