     *   Fencing encloses work from curb to curb for the entire block

        *   Began June 8, lasting through the end of Lawrence intersection closure

California to Welton (Block 8)

  *   Utility work underway:
     *   Work for water and storm sewer lines began March 9, lasting through mid-July
        *   Fencing encloses work from curb to curb for the entire block
        *   Fencing may adjust outward based on current activity in the block

Welton to Glenarm (Block 9)

  *   Utility work underway:
     *   Work for water and storm sewer lines began May 16, lasting for several months
        *   Fencing encloses work from curb to curb for the entire block
        *   Fencing may adjust outward based on current activity in the block
  *   Welton intersection:
     *   Double-lane closure for water and storm sewer work began May 15, lasting through early August

Glenarm to Tremont (Block 10)

  *   Utility work underway:
     *   Work for gas lines and water and storm sewer lines began May 15, lasting a few months
        *   Fencing encloses work from curb to curb for the entire block
        *   Fencing may adjust outward based on current activity in the block
        *   Alley and sidewalk closure as soon as July 10, lasting approximately two weeks between Subway and Earls - business access and patios aren't affected.

Tremont to Court (Block 11)

  *   Tremont intersection:
     *   Single-lane closure for gas line work began June 19, lasting for several weeks
     *   Parking and bike lane are also closed through the intersection

Work Hours

  *   Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  *   Weekend work between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. can also be anticipated
  *   Material deliveries and staging may occur overnight

RTD Free MallRide

The RTD Free MallRide continues to run during the 16th Street Mall Project, rerouted to 15th and 17th streets until the project is complete. The detour is currently from Wazee Street to Civic Center Station. The RTD Free MallRide will experience additional detours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 9 and Aug. 6, due to the ¡Viva! Streets! event in downtown Denver. During this time, the MallRide will turn off of 17th Street to Tremont Place, Tremont Place to 15th Street, then resume its normal route to Union Station. During the community event, customers traveling toward Union Station can board the Free MallRide shuttle on Tremont at 16th Street.
