Hello Cody, Dan, Paul, and Gary:
The key date is March 13 for voters in Denver. See email below and attachment. I guess I underestimated Denver’s commitment to accessibility.😊 Maybe the Mile High, Wild West, and Denver Chapters would like to circulate this to their members living and voting in Denver?
Cordially,
Curtis Chong

Hi Curtis,
Great to hear from you, hope you are well. I’m happy to report that the accessible electronic ballot will be available beginning Monday, March 13. The request feature you mentioned below refers to a request form that will go live on the Denvervotes.org site on Monday. When a voter fills out the request form, an email will automatically be sent to them providing sent step-by-step instructions to access, mark and return their ballot. However any voter can access their ballot directly by visiting www.denvervotes.org/eballot and should hopefully be able to move through the process with ease.
I’ve included an informational flyer here, please feel free to share! Our Communications and Engagement teams will be doing more outreach next week. I reviewed the flyer in Microsoft Word using their accessibility checklist but of course let me know if you have recommendations for improvement.
Thank you for your continued advocacy on this endeavor! Have a lovely weekend.
Kind regards,
Shelby Miller

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Electronic Ballot Delivery and Return in the City of Denver
Hello Shelby:
I read the election information found at https://denvergov.org/Government/Agencies-Departments-Offices/Agencies-Departments-Offices-Directory/Office-of-the-Clerk-and-Recorder/Elections-Division/voter-information. It says on the page that, “Accessible ballots will be available upon request.”
For the benefit of blind voters who vote in Denver, can you please help me to clarify exactly what this means?
Your help is greatly appreciated here. Thank you.
Warm wishes,

Subject: Electronic Ballot Delivery and Return in the City of Denver
Hello Shelby:
I have been asked by a number of blind Denverites if, for this current election in the City of Denver, there will be available electronic ballot delivery and/or return for voters with print disabilities. I am assuming not since this is neither a statewide nor a coordinated election that is managed over-all by the Colorado Secretary of State. However, if I am wrong about this, I would be glad for the correction.☺
Very truly yours,
Curtis Chong, Voting Rights Coordinator
