Hey there Denver Chapter!

Our November chapter meeting is coming up next Saturday, November 18,
and there is a lot going on associated with that that I want to pass
on to you.

First, several of our CCB alumni have been working very hard on
getting a lively CCB Alumni Association up and running this year. And
they've done a remarkable job. They've been holding monthly Zoom calls
for alumni for the past 7 or 8 months. And on the 18th they and all of
us can celebrate with day-long activities:

* Breakfast bites at 9:00 a.m. at CCB, no cost (thanks to CCB),

* As part of our usual chapter meeting Alumni plan some fun
and interesting things for CCB grads and non-grads alike,

* A big Alumni Association Friendsgiving pot luck feast will
commence around noon. Turkey and ham will be provided. You are asked
to bring sides or desserts. You must RSVP to alumni at cocenter.org.

* At about 3 p.m., after all is consumed and cleaned, many
alums will revisit old times at the Old Town Tavern on West Main in
Littleton.

Next bring 3 needed food items or warm winter items (list below) and
be eligible for a drawing for $50! We decided in October to support
the food bank at Integrated Family Community Services in Englewood
with needed food donations. Food banks around the metro area are
struggling with higher food costs, so let's help them out with a big
box of food items from the list below:
1 soft cereal bars ( Nutrigrain bars, multigrain store brand,
other brands)
2 single-serve cooked meals that can be heated in
hot water or a microwave-not frozen meals (suggestions: mac and cheese
cups, oatmeal cups, etc.)
3 pop-top meat - fish, SPAM, sausages, etc.
            4 pouches of tuna
            5 crackers
            6 soup with a pop-top
            7 socks
            8 mittens
            9 hats
            10hygiene products insertion point between

Finally, don't forget the Holiday Party coming up on December 9, from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. More on that after we've all digested Thanksgiving!

Julie and I will be in Baltimore on the 18th for a meeting of the
American Action Fund, so we'll miss seeing all of you, and we'll miss
out on the fun and food. But I hope you will all come and enjoy the
day with the Alumni!

Zoom info is also below my signature for those who can't make the
in-person gathering.

Best,

Dan Burke
President
