Greetings everyone:

The House Health and Human Services Committee is holding a hearing tomorrow
morning, immediately after adjournment of the House general session, on our
accessible prescription labeling bill, HB24-1115. The hearing will take
place in House Committee Room 0112 and will probably convene some time
around 10:00 a.m.

The February 13 hearing on this bill was postponed because of amendments
that representatives from the pharmaceutical industry wanted to make to the
bill.

Here is a link to the Colorado General Assembly testimony page where you
would register to testify on a given bill or issue.

The committee is the House Health and Human Services Committee, and the bill
number is HB24-1115. The date is Tuesday, March 12, probably starting near
10:00 a.m.

You can sign up to testify in person, remotely via Zoom, or in writing.

The amendments being proposed for HB24-1115 essentially set up a grant
program for pharmacies who need some financial assistance to acquire
equipment to produce accessible prescription labels and eliminate the
original language exempting pharmacies with fewer than three pharmacists.

It is important for the committee to hear from real people who would benefit
from the passage of this bill. If you need help signing up to testify,
please call me directly at 515-306-1654.

Thank you.

Kind wishes,

Curtis Chong
