it is NOT too late
Here is the action alert CCDC sent out this morning (and a way to get our
mailings directly)
Dear Community,
Last night, the U.S. House of Representatives voted
<https://ccdc.nationbuilder.com/r?u=i2QiHBoTR8DC-SBBYQgkxAA4gQu28vOHr4EBccpnYTepx_XovdxebB0Eok8TV5X5w30FIC9tFEMDpWX7X9mkI0wl-FkTd9dzYQjQqsxwQJDRJ0cjWUC0c86O27c2KHr2&e=3834b6f3c30a241b3a76b9d61f3a8f85&utm_source=ccdc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=house_resolution_vote&n=1>
to
move their budget resolution forward. This resolution directs Congress to
find $880 billion worth of cuts to Medicaid. While this is a deeply
disappointing, troubling, and scary step toward devastating cuts to
Medicaid, the fight is not over.
*What comes next? *
Now that the budget resolution has passed, Congressional committees will
have to decide exactly how to make the cuts they’ve been directed to make
in the budget resolution that passed last night. This process is called
reconciliation. For more information on how reconciliation works, Roll Call
has this

great
three minute explainer video (click the CC button on the video’s toolbar
for captions). We will need to fight these life threatening cuts at every
step in the process.
*How are we going to start?*
Fighting for what our community needs to live starts with accountability.
Representatives Boebert, Crank, Evans, and Hurd all voted ‘yes’ to start
the process of cuts. We must hold them accountable (you can find a full
list of how each Representative voted here

express your disappointment with your Representative (or send your own
email)
- Call your Representative to let them know how disappointed you are and
how you want them to do the right thing by voting ‘no’ during the next step
