Soon, the project team will once again bring a key element of Colorado's diverse landscape to 16th Street. The new Grasslands feature, inspired by the state's beautiful prairies, completes the Moments of Joy<https://cig-pr.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fc34ba15e6547b8d998f63f6a&id=d4b6400cf1&e=0e4069ae0b> series on 16th Street alongside the Cutthroat Trout<https://cig-pr.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fc34ba15e6547b8d998f63f6a&id=06909bf1a8&e=0e4069ae0b> and Scattered Leaves<https://cig-pr.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fc34ba15e6547b8d998f63f6a&id=d82c120bdb&e=0e4069ae0b>.
Whimsical and artfully crafted, this feature will enhance the lush greenery along the corridor and provide unique seating opportunities. The Grasslands will be located on 16th Street between Court Place and Cleveland Place (Block 12). Installation of the Grasslands Moment of Joy is scheduled to begin around mid-July and last several weeks.

Left to right: Block 12 stratavault installation, Block 11 concrete work, Block 11 granite paver work
The project team continues to make headway in the blocks between Tremont Place and Cleveland Place (Blocks 11-12). The team has begun planting trees and installing granite pavers in various locations on the sidewalks, signaling the start of Phase 2 work in both blocks.
Due to the unique locations of utilities in these blocks, the work sequence and construction fence layouts are different from other blocks along 16th Street during Phase 2. Many of the Project Milestones<https://cig-pr.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fc34ba15e6547b8d998f63f6a&id=32e44c62f6&e=0e4069ae0b> are being completed simultaneously in different parts of each block.
Full-block fencing is scheduled to be removed this summer, and we look forward to adding the final touches during Phase 3 of construction<https://cig-pr.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fc34ba15e6547b8d998f63f6a&id=9fdc7d6d1a&e=0e4069ae0b> after that.
