hello bret,
no, it doesn't at all! yes, we don't need thisaccomodiation for us blind people. but, people with other disabilities besides blindness or have it also with their blindness can benefit from it!
yes, we as blind people we can use our canes or guide dogs and, our mouths to get around:)
as to the cruise thing i went on my first cruise with my best friend and her husband in 2018 and, there wasn't anything such thing that was available or that my best friend saw too! as a matter of fact they for many many years were crusing people and, her husband who alsohas disabilities doesn't use this thing or saw something like this!
thanks for pointing this out to us here in the blindness community!
hugs,
amy sabo

Hi. Very confused… I don’t know why someone would need to use these blinking bracelets? It seems unnecessary to me but then again I have not been on a cruise before. But I mean, I don’t go around to new hotels and other large areas and tell the front desk to look for my blinking light and rush over to help me please. Is this a thing for someone with multiple disabilities? We have canes and mouths aren’t those enough?Sorry, maybe I shouldn’t reply to emails this late at night. This just doesn’t make sense.
