Subject: We Want to Hear from You: Share Feedback on RTD’s January 2026 Service Changes
Dear Disability Community Partners and Advocates,
At RTD, accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of how we serve our community. As we plan for the January 2026 Service Changes—scheduled to take effect Sunday, January 4, 2026—we want to ensure that your voice and lived experience help shape what comes next.
These proposed updates are part of RTD’s System Optimization Plan (SOP), a long-term effort to improve reliability, enhance accessibility, and better connect riders across our region. The changes also reflect adjustments related to the temporary pause of Phase 3 of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project (Colfax Avenue Alignment Reconstruction), which is expected to resume in 2026 alongside Phase 2.
Your feedback helps RTD create a system that truly works for everyone.
Proposed January 2026 Service Changes
Route 0B – South Broadway
* Proposed Change: Minor changes to weekday, Saturday, and Sunday/Holiday schedules.
* Reason: To improve on-time performance, service reliability, and better connections between Routes 0 and 0B.
* Provide Feedback on Route 0B
Platte Valley FlexRide
* Proposed Change: Proposed discontinuation of the Platte Valley FlexRide service.
* Reason: Due to continued low utilization—averaging fewer than 0.6 customers per hour or approximately 8 customers per day—the service is recommended for discontinuation. It was introduced in 2019 to replace Route 33 but has not reached sustainable ridership levels.
* Alternative Service: The Denver Connector West covers much of the same area and will continue to serve customers in the region.
* Provide Feedback on Platte Valley FlexRide
