Greetings and Happy New Year,
Did y'all see the happy holiday message from our state president, Jessica Beecham? It was wonderful. She shows again why we are a great community caring deeply for one another. We are a very lucky affiliate. And I hope my dear friends and colleagues will step up in this new year and support our tremendous board of directors and other activists in the outfit.
Downtown COS chapter will meet the 3rd Tuesday of January, January 20th. We are back at Avenue 19. Some of you may have heard that we were to begin the new year meeting at Oskar Blues. Forget about it. Oskar Blues has closed forever. So we are back at Avenue 19 for the present.
Our dear colleagues Steven and Emily will not be with us at our next chapter meeting. They are going for vending training, i.e., upward mobility. Nevertheless, we have a busy agenda, including dues and elections. We will be in person and on Zoom. Fyi, I have endorsed Nate Hecker to be our next president. Please think about whether or not you would like to serve on our board of directors for 2026. Have questions about any of this. Call me 303-929-2369.
If you are not following us on Facebook, please consider it National Federation of the Blind of Colorado, NFB CO.
Remember that Sports and Rec has an activity on Sunday, January 18th. Springs chapters could put together a little group to go together if anyone wishes to go. I sent the information to y'all, and Erin put it on Colorado Talk.
Many blessings and good fortune to each of you during 2026.
Let's go build the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado.
At your service,
Kevan Worley
