Hello NFBCO friends,
A friend of mine is a journalism professor at Michigan State University and is working on a project that could use some of our voices.
Each semester, he has students work on cultural competency guides, helping people learn about communities they are not familiar with. They started this week on a 100-question guide that will help people understand and work with people who are blind. He needs Blind people to speak with his students, starting with what basic questions they would like their sighted peers to have the answers to. This will be the latest in a series of books about different groups that already has more than 20 guides.
If you are interested in speaking to poffessor Joe Grimm and possibly being interviewed by his students for the book, drop a line to jgrimm at msu.edu. He'll need dozens of people for the project and could use some people he can bank on ASAP.
Thanks
