The Green Drop Project is beginning in the following seven
States and
Washington,
D.C. Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland,
and Virginia.

The project will have a container at a designated location, manned by an
attendant, who will collect clothing, housewares, and some furniture to be
sold at Green Drop's thrift stores (Second Ave.). The NFB Will NOT be
directly active in the acceptance of goods at the container locations or
staff the thrift stores. The work will be done by Green Drop.

Further questions regarding the Green Drop project can be directed to Joanne
Wilson at the National Center in Baltimore. 410-659-9314.

The Green Drop Project is taking place in 8 eastern states according to
Joanne.
the main work that is needed is to let people know that we are taking part
in this program, as we are working with a company to do this program.
Joanne and I don't see how this program fits what our group does, but I
would encourage all to get in touch with Joanne if you are back east and
want to help out.
If anyone else has ideas that they wish to champion, please get in touch
with me at dsmithnfb at gmail.com or 415.215.9809
  Thanks,
  Darian
