I just received this notice today.  Looks like a "state team" is being formed using a federally funded 5 year grant.  They are looking for a variety of people in the disability community to be represented.  Self advocates are one area they would like to see input from.  I think someone or some people from the VI/Blindness community would be a great addition to the team.  

 

Please consider sharing this with your extensive resources in the VI/Blindess community in hopes that someone is interested in volunteering.

CT Department of Developmental Disabilities and the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities is seeking self-advocates, family members, DDS staff, state agency staff and community members from universities, educational, aging, civic and other organizations to participate in our new Supporting Families Community of Practice State Team.  If you are interested in participating on the Community of Practice State Team, please complete the attached document and return it to robin.wood at ct.gov, or mail it to CT Department of Developmental Services, 460 Capital Avenue, Hartford, CT 0106.
