Hello I'm so sorry to have heard of teh passing of Carol Gilliispie I did  
not know her, but my sympathies go out to her family and will keep them in

Dear DORS-BESB staff and community  partners,
 
It is with great sadness that I  must report to you all that Carol 
Gillispie has passed away. Many of us have  known and worked with Carol for many 
years. She was a dedicated  Rehabilitation Teacher, BESB  board member, Agency 
Consumer Advisory Committee member and advocate for  people who are blind. 
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Carol  experienced her kindness and 
compassion in so many ways. She always  remembered a birthday and was among the 
first to call when someone was ill  to wish them well and offer a prayer of 
healing for them. Attached is the  obituary that appeared this morning in 
the New Haven Register. Calling hours are on  Thursday and the funeral is on 
Friday. Details of both appear in the  obituary.
