General information on receiving up to 21 days of Paratransit access per year when visiting Orlando Florida. The service is provided by Access Lynx. If you are currently certified here in CT and are interested in using the service while in Orlando you will need to contact your current provider and request they fax to Access Lynx a letter or form that they use for this purpose. The fax number is 407-849-6759. The letter needs to have your name, address, your eligibility status and the date your eligibility expires. It would be helpful if the provider could provide additional information like if you travel with a personal care attendant, a service dog, or use of a mobility device such as a wheelchair, walker, or cane. Additionally the address of where you are staying while in Orlando is needed. Once the information is sent to Access Lynx, you need to call the Eligibility Department at 407-423-8747, choose option six to make sure they have all necessary information to certify you to use their service. Once verified you will be given an identification number and dates of your eligibility you will need to record this information for it is needed when you schedule your ride. Rides costs are four dollars or seven dollars one way depending on your travel distance, collected at the time of boarding. Use 407-423-8747 to call and schedule your ride. You can reserve your ride anywhere from seven days to one day in advance of your travel date. The reservation line is open from eight am to five pm seven days a week. Please remember to call and cancel any ride you may have made and then do not need. If you reserve Paratransit to meet you at the airport, reserve your ride at least one hour after your arrival time in order to allow for a late arrivals and make sure the meeting place is well understood. Please note if you have bags or luggage with you they must be able to fit under your seat or in your lap.
