Good morning folks;
I am sending this e-mail in response to Justin's complaint of my remarks yesterday. I don't wish to turn this in to a big thing so I'll just say this. I don't apologize for what I said. I my feelings for Besb are what they are. If you choose to ban me from the list so be it. The less I know the less I have to do.

Peace

Rich

Rich,

                I think you’re a cool guy, so don’t take offense to this, but I really don’t think it’s a good idea to make negative and subjective comments about BESB here on this list.  BESB can be a big help to you if you use them right and if their services lead toward goals that you have.  The training that BESB is funding for me at the Louisiana Center for the Blind is excellent training and is an irreplaceable component in my success professionally and personally.  BESB has also provided me with a lot of technology that I have needed for college and life, and I have high hopes that this will continue.

                Maybe you should consider the Business Enterprise Program through BESB as an employment opportunity.  (That’s the vending program.)  I know a lot of people who have done very well through it in other states and would assume that ours can provide similar opportunities.

                I am currently reading a really great book called “Cracking the Hidden Job Market,” by Donald Asher.  It is on bookshare, and I think it is available through NLS, too.  It’s really insightful, and I think it will help any job seeker.  I highly recommend it.  For everything he recommends, Rich, you have the perfect personality to do it.

Good night,

Justin

Rich, I'm sorry you feel this way and I would love to give you a job if I could. However there is never any lead time with these bills, they come up very quickly without notice. Keep up the good work, I appreciate it. Beth

I'm not sending this list, because I was miss informed by the rep. I spoke to on the phone, from what I now understand it's already beyond this point.

I am in full support of what we're trying to do here, but I have to ask this group? Especially our state board, why didn't anyone attempt the register from tossing me too the wolves. I'm constantly asked to help I joined a protest against good will, willingly I might add. I went to Hartford "the capital " for 2 hearings, again willingly. But gee I don't see no one knocking down doors for my job when I lost it, and now because of the stress of being unemployed. I will probably not be able to get another job, I'm still being asked to step up and make these calls to save the jobs for venders again willingly, but still what's it gonna do for me? Perhaps someone can explain why my job doesn't count.
