Hi,
I hope I am reaching everyone. Very sorry, the recipe calls for 5-6 cups
of whole wheat flour.

I think that it'd be a good idea if Cheri gives us an approximate size for
the biscuits also. I have a good supply of labels in the office; do you
want me to print out labels for the baggies? I have some embossibles that I
could make Braille labels with also if that would be a good idea. I will
also make a batch.

Thanks for the recipe. It will be fun to make them. When do you need them?
Where to ship? Also, do you prefer them to be FedEx?

Best Regards,

Joanna

Homemade Dog Treat – Every Day Biscuits (I renamed them “Cooper Cookies”)

2 teaspoons dry yeast

½ cup of lukewarm water

2 tablespoons of dry parsley

1 ½ cups of chicken broth

3 tablespoons of honey

1 egg

5-6 whole wheat flour

¼ cup of peanut butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in the parsley,
peanut butter, broth, honey, and egg. Gradually blend in flour, adding enough
to form a stiff dough.

Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth (about 3-5 minutes).
Shape the dough into a ball, and roll to a ¼ inch thick. Use cookie cutter
(small bone, hearts or a drinking glass works well), cut out biscuits.
Transfer to ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about ¼ inches apart.
Gather up the scraps, roll out again, and cut additional biscuits.

Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and turn over. Bake for an
additional 15 minutes, or until lightly browned on both sides. Let cool overnight.

Makes several dozen small bones that keep and freeze well.

Note – I have had to adjust baking time based on thickness of cookies,
but remember too hard or too soft, the doggies still love them.
