Good morning Vishal,

I'm not quite sure if saying they don't care are the correct words to use. Yes I was and still am very angry after what I heard. However I must ask what are you doing to help yourself seek employment. The problem as I see is these individuals who work in these sheltered workshops aren't doing anything to try to help their own cases. As I said it's true I have been unemployed for 3 years now in June, and I have had 2 unsuccessful job placements one was my problem because of the fact that I couldn't memorize the screen, since it was for poling the script was constantly changing.  the other was I would say my ride or New Haven's para-transits. I was taken to the wrong S&S and became so frustrated I walked off the job.

I have to admit in both cases, BESB/DORS & Marrakesh were extremely sympathetic. I have come to the conclusion that as Blind folks we're basically on our own for employment.

I do want to leave you with one more thought, and this is. That you my friend are an extremely intelligent individual and are capable of accomplishing great things. If yu try. Don't let yourself be put in the position that so many of have (including myself)  that is to depend on BESB/DORS or anyone other than yourself or your parents make your decisions for you. You can do anything, you want if you stand fast & Stay strong.

Rich

P.S. I apologize if I ramble to much, but coming from a large family there are 2 things I've learned the first is don't allow yourself to be pushed around. And the 2nd is don't be afraid of a bloody nose.

Its there something wrong with me, or did I get the impression that it's fine that they pay the disabled less than minimum wage as long as they had a place to go to each day. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that was the impression I got. I am very disgusted, with what I heard. And I say I don't know about the rest of you but I'd rather sit home with my thumb up my Ass then get paid less than minimum wage! This crap about?having to move slowly is just that! I personally think it's wrong that anyone should have to swallow that bullshit!
