Subject: National Council of State Agencies for the Blind (NCSAB) Logo
Contest

 

The National Council of State Agencies for the Blind (NCSAB) is offering a
$250 prize in addition to website recognition and acknowledgement at the
2014 NCSAB Fall Conference for the design of a logo for its organization.
Entries should be submitted by July 31, 2014 and must include the logo
design and a text description. Entries will be judged by a panel
representing the NCSAB.

 

The National Council of State Agencies for the Blind, Inc. (NCSAB) is a
professional organization; providing training, guidance and best practice
techniques for services in the field of blindness. NCSAB sponsors annual
spring and fall training conferences focusing on topics important to
blindness agencies and the customers that we serve, including: assistive
technology products and training; independent living programs for older
individuals who are blind; residential centers training/issues;
Braille/educational services; transition/vocational
rehabilitation/employment; the Randolph Sheppard Act/Business Enterprise
Program; and much more. 

 

NCSAB's mission is to promote through advocacy, coordination, and education
the delivery of specialized services that enable individuals who are blind
and visually impaired to achieve personal and vocational independence. A
logo will serve to convey this mission to the public in a way that presents
a clear image of blindness and blind persons as full participants in the
economic, social and political life of the State. The logo should present
this image in a simple, direct and compelling fashion that evokes respect
