I know of at least one blind person who is receiving services through them. He is not developmentally disabled.

I'm also unsure if this is one of the employers that pays wages below the minimum wage. I'm thinking that they are, but I'm going to check.

It could be an opportunity for someone to go in there and get them off the subminimum wage model.

Greetings ,

MARC, Inc., located in Manchester, Conn., is offering the opportunity to lead a highly-regarded human service organization with a strong sense of family. I am assisting board members from MARC with the search for their next executive director and we are spreading the word about this opportunity as widely as possible. Will you please share this information with your networks?

Founded in 1952 by a group of families seeking services for their children, MARC currently supports almost 300 developmentally disabled people and their families annually. MARC provides diverse, culturally competent services to developmentally disabled persons and their families including residential, respite, retirement, recreation, advocacy and supported employment services.

MARC's next executive director will be passionate and mission-driven, an outstanding communicator and a proven leader able to inspire staff, board and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading a large nonprofit organization, supporting organizational development efforts, working effectively with multiple stakeholders, and initiating and advocating for regional and statewide public policy initiatives.

For the complete position profile and application guidelines, please visit http://tsne.org/executive-director-marc-inc

Thank you so much for your assistance in getting the word out. If you know of someone whom I should contact directly, please don't hesitate to let me know. Your involvement in outreach can have a big impact on this organization's future.

Regards,
