[Ct-nfb] What's with Newsline?

Here's the answer I got from our national office:

A power outage at one of our contracted server locations. Most if not all is back functioning today

So I guess that means everything is good!

I have not heard word about any cuts to newsline. I will ask tomorrow, and if there are any issues, I will bring them up on this list.
Thanks,

Dear Anne,

I cannot help but feel as if you have dropped small implications against our governor and then asked that people assuage these concerns off list. Since these concerns have been voiced in this public forum, I think it is only appropriate that they be dealt with in the same forum in which they were presented.

I am not aware of any such cuts. I have a great deal of faith in this organization and in our leadership, such as our president, and I am sure that we would all be very well aware if such cuts were on the table.

I have forwarded your message to Scott White and will be sure to get back with you as soon as I have an answer.

Have a great weekend!

I called into Newsline about 2 hours ago to see if any good movies are on
today and to catch up with magazines I like. My local access number is
disconnected. I called a friend who uses a different local access number and
she got the same result. I use Newsline daily and enjoy it very much. I
haven't checked the web site but will soon.

Did our wonderful governor take Newsline away from us as part of the budget
cuts or is this temporary? I don't remember a notification saying Newsline
is going away.

Any info would be appreciated but let's not clutter the list. Thanks.
