Hello Jim,

Thanks for sending us this response. It is awesome that you stepped up to the plate to communicate with our Senators on these issues.

I do my best not to celebrate until we see action, but this response does seem to show the right kind of priorities.

Thanks, again! I’ll be back in touch when I learn more.

Justin

Hello, all. This is an email I received from Senator Blumenthal's office concerning S 2596. I also discussed the Marrakesh Treaty with Mr. Blumenthal's representative, but I haven't heard anything about that issue.

The gentleman who took my call to Senator Blumenthal seemed very interested in what I had to say. Unfortunately I did not feel as positive after speaking with a person in Senator Murphy's office.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Dear Jim,

Thank you for contacting the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee in regards to space available travel on military transport flights. I appreciate hearing from you.

Senator Heller introduced S. 2596, a bill which will include veterans with a 100% disability rating on the list of eligible persons for space available transportation on military flights. I promise to keep your thoughts in mind as the Committee considers this important piece of legislation. As Ranking Member am working to ensure that the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line to defend our country receive the highest quality care and benefits.

Again, thank you for reaching out to the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs. I will keep your thoughts in mind while working on these important issues. There is no higher priority for me than ensuring that our country stands up for the men and women who have fought for our freedom and safety. I am committed to providing veterans and their families with the care and benefits they deserve. For up-to-date information on what the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs is working on, please visit: www.veterans.senate.gov<http://www.veterans.senate.gov> .

Sincerely,

Richard Blumenthal
United States Senate
