Hello all!

There has been a lot of talk about the new voting system. I had an
opportunity to see it earlier this morning.

The info is programmed into a laptop. The laptop screen is a touch screen
for sighted and legally blind users if they wish to use it. The keypad is
contained in a separate box which can rest on a table or held in the hand.
The round buttons are easy to feel and tap. The keypad is laid out like a
telephone keypad. There are 3 buttons at the top of the keypad in a
different shape which we do not touch.

The voice you here is the same as the telephone system and the procedure is
identical. When the vote is completed, the ballot is printed and placed in
the ballot box in the same way as every other ballot.

Hopefully, there will not be any flitches with this system. It operates
smoothly. No buffering, no breaking up.

Have a nice day and enjoy this summer like weather.
