Hello Jim

I'd wanted to pass this along that Norwalk had a deminstration of the voting machine and how it works and how they have ti set up ois real nice. ON a nice wheeled cart with the printer o nthe bottom yes it is a tablet with a decent sized screen and the audio key pad is a screw box with a big sized pad . If one has their own headphones and want to bring them they will work as I carry mine in my bag and worked, but if one doesn't they do use wipes and disposasble ear pads too. T odo the audio it does take a little bit of time as because of it being read, but if use the touch screen not hat long and is all confidential and was impressed wit hit.

Some time either towards the end of the week or weekend will be ding it i nBridgeport I believe a mawaiting upon that one as that too are thinking of incorporating it with speaking to someonethere in Bridgeport as the Mayor or one of the senators as that is being worked on and will let yo uknow of it.

Thanks and take care

Elizabeth

Hello, all. I thought I'd forward this FYI.
As long as the poll workers have the information they need, I'm optimistic that we'll be fine on election day.
Let's all get out and make our voices heard!

Greetings,
With only two weeks to go until Election Day, Americans are preparing to
take to the polling booths and exercise our right and duty as citizens.
Equal access is a critical issue we face at voting precincts around the
country, an issue that National Public Radio (NPR) focused on this past
Monday during All Things Considered. The segment, which can be heard here
<http://www.npr.org/2016/10/24/499177544/disabled-voters-fight-for-more-acce
ssible-polling-places , echoed the concerns of many within our own
community, and it's important for state affiliates to stay in the foreground
during the election process. Below are some resources we found useful for
advocates working on election issues, and we hope you will find them useful
as well. Additionally, please feel free to contact me with any issues or
concerns that arise leading to or during Election Day.
 RevUp!
http://www.aapd.com/our-focus/voting/
The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPAID) has been
engaging voters with disabilities through their RevUp initiative. Work has
included voter registration drives, and they are now focused on ways to make
sure Americans with disabilities are able to get out and vote on Election
Day. They, along with the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL),
have also published their presidential candidates' questionnaire, which
outlines both political parties' positions on disability issues.

Election Protection
http://www.866ourvote.org/
The Lawyers Committee on Civil Rights Under Law has launched a voter hotline
and resource page called Election Protection. Working with groups like the
National Disability Rights Network (NDRN), Election Protection will have
advocates in key locations around the country, assuring that voting is
accessible for all Americans. They have also set up a toll-free voting
hotline for when issues arise: 1-866-OUR-VOTE.

Voter's Rights Card
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission developed an accessible card to
provide voters with disabilities information about their federal voting
rights. As voters with disabilities prepare to cast their ballots, this card
aims to help them this fall and beyond. The card is written in plain
language and includes a QR code. It is available in two versions: 1) wallet
size, and 2) Braille and large print. Requests can be made to Pat Leahy:
