Hi Christine, Berlin is also an accessible town. But there is only 1 bus stop. Beth

Hello Christine,
I live in West Hartford Connecticut, and while I do not use public transportation, I do use the ADA transit service to get around. I find them to be extremely reliable. I also use Uber, and it doesn’t seem to be too expensive doing it that way. West Hartford definitely has sidewalks, and is a nice area to live in.
I hope this helps.
Edward

My name is Christine.
I am 30 years old and I am totally blind. I am looking into moving up to Connecticut, but I am seeing a lot of issues with transportation. I am coming from New Jersey where I had issues with transportation as well. I was 5 miles out from the nearest bus stop there for Access Link did not come to my location. I was looking to live in Shelton, but I'm not sure if this is really a good idea as I do not see a regular bus other than New Haven Transit that heads out that way. Can any one give me advice on where the best areas in Connecticut are good for living with transportation. I don't want to make a move and be stuck again.
I know that they go to Bridgeport but that's a terrible area to live in. Also Seymour does not have sidewalks which is something that I need to have around me.
I will appreciate any feedback.
