Hello Everyone,
Please share this email with appropriate partners.
Hello All,
Do you want to vote in August and November?
If the answer is yes, then your help is needed now!
The NFB-CT has offered information and is now working with the Secretary
of the State's office to develop an accessible absentee ballot for the
August 11th primary and for the Presidential election in November. No
voter should have to risk his or her health in order to vote privately and
independently under the law.
Disability Rights CT, which used to be the Office of Protection and
Advocacy , is looking for people with disabilities who have concerns
about voting in person or have faced barriers to voting by mail in the past.
Please keep in mind that we have a number of people in CT who have a print
disability and will need an absentee ballot which is "accessible" in
order to vote.
Jennifer Jenkins , Lead Advocate at Disability Rights CT, asks that you
reach out to her with your experience. You can reach her at:
860-469-4467 or jennifer.jenkins at disrightsct.org
Best Regards,
Mary Silverberg
